La Fonda on the Plaza is the setting for the 2018 Winter Indian Market, which is presented by the Southwestern Association for Indian Arts (SWAIA) on December 14, 15 and 16. A select group of 150 Native artists sell jewelry, pottery, paintings, weavings and more at this much smaller version of the summer market.
In addition to featuring artist booths, Winter Indian Market also has a silent action, live music and dancing. A new addition to this year’s festivities is a toy drive for Native children sponsored by SWAIA and the Santa Fe Indian Center. Anyone wishing to participate should bring a new, unwrapped toy to Winter Indian Market.
