Four Shillings Short’s members Christy Martin and Aodh Og O’Tuama are modern-day troubadours who grew up in musical families.
Among the instruments they play during performances are the sitar, dulcimer, mandolin, banjo, flute, guitar, doumbek and ukulele.
Since 1997, Four Shillings Short has been touring regularly throughout the U.S. and Ireland. Their audience members experience music, poetry and stories from Europe, India and the Americas.
Christy Martin and Aodh Og O’Tuama present 130 concerts a year in a wide range of venues, from concert halls and music festivals to libraries and schools.
