Santa Fe Symphony’s concertmaster David Felberg is one of two soloists in the symphony’s February 17 concert at the Lensic. He performs Bruce Adolphe’s concerto for violin “I Will Not Remain Silent,” which is based on the life of German/American rabbi Joachim Prinz.
Also taking center stage is soprano Mary Wilson, an orchestral soloist and opera singer who teaches voice at the University of Memphis. She sings “Das himmlische Leben” in the fourth and final movement of Gustav Mahler’s “Symphony No. 4.”
“Schindler’s List” by John Williams is the third work on the program. The concert is dedicated to the memory of Leonard Felberg, who passed away in November 2018. He was concertmaster of the Santa Fe Symphony for 25 years and David Felberg’ father.
