Classical music offerings in the spotlight…
Soprano Angela Meade, the winner of more than 50 vocal competitions, is a recitalist at St. Francis Auditorium on January 14 as a guest of Performance Santa Fe. On the program are works by Meyerbeer, Bellini, Rossini and Beethoven.
SITE Santa Fe hosts violinist David Felberg and pianist Judy Gordon of Chatter, a chamber music group based in Albuquerque, in a performance of pieces by Nico Muhly, David Lang, John Cage and John Adams on January 13.
The Chancel Choir of First Presbyterian Church, along with soprano Nancy Maret, cellist Dana Winograd and organist David Solem, presents John Rutter’s “Requiem” on January 12. The performance is free and open to the public.
A note to Santa Fe Arts Journal readers! If you have seen an art show or attended a performance that has been covered in SFAJ and would like to share your comments about it in this column, please submit your review (up to 100 words) through the Contact page (the link is at the top of the home page). SFAJ reserves the right to decide which reviews get printed and to edit the length of submissions. Names will be printed with the comments. Looking forward to hearing from you!
