Welcome to Santa Fe Arts Journal, which celebrates the Santa Fe arts community through engaging articles about creative individuals and the events they present in town.
Art and objects created at the community non-profit workspace Made in Santa Fe are showcased at Offroad Productions from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. on October 14 at its 2891-B Trades West Road studio. The exhibit also includes a selection of photos of creative people working in Santa Fe’s Siler District by Kate Russell.

“Lucent Echoes,” a series of photographs by Matt Gatton, and “Prado Remix,” a suite of 50 drawings by Axle Contemporary co-curator Jerry Wellman, are two solo shows opening at Ellsworth Gallery on October 13. Translation and matters of perception are at the heart of both bodies of work.
Beats Antique, an experimental world fusion and electronic music group that formed in 2007, appears at the Lensic Performing Arts Center on October 16. AMP Concerts presents the show, which mixes samples and heavy percussive sounds with tribal fusion dance and performance art.
Santa Fe Arts Journal thanks Santa Fe sculptor Gilberto Romero for allowing use of an image of his 28” x 28” x 11,” stainless steel on a marble base sculpture “Eclectic Dance.” Romero’s work is represented by Winterowd Fine Art.
