Grammy-nominated singer/songwriter Beth Hart sings gospel, soul and rock tunes from her latest album “Fire on the Floor” when she appears at the Lensic Performing Arts Center on Feb. 21. Hart gained worldwide recognition after the release of her 1999 single “LA Song (Out of This Town) from her second album “Screamin’ for My Supper.” She released her 11th album, “Black Coffee,” last month.
Teatro Paraguas hosts the New Mexico Actors Lab’s presentation of “Stop Kiss” as a free reading on February 18. The play, which was written by Diana Son and directed by Barbara Hatch, focuses on the story of Sara and Callie, who are assaulted on the street after they share their first kiss.
An open house and panel discussion take place at form and concept on February 17 in support of Armond Lara’s Flying Blue Buffalo Project. The project will tell the largely untold story of the kidnapping and enslavement of Native American children from the 1600s until the late 1800s.
